Life's Little Big Moments

I just saw that it has been more than a year since I was last here! Even I didn't realize it's been that long. And I have actually been keeping myself very busy. But at the same time my whole reason for starting this blog was to at least kind of keep up with what keeps me busy, so let's catch up 😊
Spring Beginnings

I think it's funny how I was really determined to get this blog written, right around spring happily springing all around us, and life starting its new beginnings. My last post here was one where I was still going out on big adventures around town and surroundings. And I have done a few more of these bigger adventures this past year too. But mostly, I ended up going back to old and familiar places close to home. Nothing exciting or new, just me sitting in a little corner of my happy place, watching the things that make me happy, make me happy. And I think I realized that an adventure doesn't actually have to be Big to be big. I have sat in my little corner of dirt in .my favorite hummingbird garden and found all my overthinking and stress and whatever less fun had kept me busy throughout the week, float away with squirrely carrying away his peanuts, birdie taking her bath, hummingbird kissing her flowers.
Trying new things

So, has this past year mostly been one of my sitting in the dirt? I for sure have gotten pretty good at trying to cover up sandy butts while casually reemerging with the rest of the human society 😁 But I have also been busy beyond the sandy butts. Having fairly recently created a YouTube channel, it meant not only going out to take photos, but to also learn how to create videos, edit them, dig up the millions of so far unused tripods from the dust and pretend to become the next Stephen King. And where once editing videos seemed like a daunting task, unprofessional Kats like me could never master, I now was slowly getting a speedy hang of. And on one of the other reasons I started this blog, the "where do I think I might go next in life", that too kept me busy, diving into YouTube travel videos around the world and my imagining myself in all these far away places, visualizing what my life could possibly look like if a plan B were to ever take me there.
Plan B

So, have I been busy packing my bags for a big plan B move then? No, I have not. I'm not even at a point yet of even remotely knowing if there ever will be such a plan B move or if I have just been enjoying getting to know the world better from my own little place in the world. But what all this past year has helped me figure out is that by the time that next adventure, to wherever that adventure may take me, comes knocking on my door, I will be right there to open that door with a big smile and ready to go. Because maybe, even if sometimes it felt like my planting myself in that little corner of my happy place was just this little adventure, and my possibly missing out on big adventures I "should" be on instead. That little adventure, followed by the next little adventure, and the next adventure, showed me step by step I got this. And maybe that is exactly we need sometimes. To know that all we need to get ready for our next big adventure, is to enjoy the one we are already on right now, no matter how big or small, in your back yard or beyond. And know that you, me, squirrely, hummingbird and friends, we got this 😊
And with that I think I also have chatted, or rambled 😁enough, so I will leave it here. And if you made it this far, I appreciate so much! And if you even dare come back 😁, in a next blog I want to give my take on some of the language apps I have used while looking at a possible plan B move. Hopefully I will see you then 😊
